France is one of the most popular travel destinations in the world. Its geographic layout is ideal for accessing all parts of the country via its picturesque and accessible Atlantic and Mediterranean coast lines. Each region is rich in its own unique landscape, history, food, art, and architecture. At this year’s show, in addition to ports of call and travel(tourism) agencies specializing in cruises on the French pavilion, there will be about a dozen equipment and service providers offering their high-value solutions relevant to shipbuilding and the cruise industry. These companies feature cabin furnishings designers to galley construction companies, to jewelry for gift shops and wine and coffee producers for on-board restaurants.
Discover France’s savoir-faire in everything cruise at the French pavilion, booth 1056. Various events highlighting different regions will take place throughout the show, such as:
- Le Havre, Cherbourg, Normandy Cruise booth: Presence of Jean-Claude Rainaud, renowned French maritime artist, and a sampling of Normand food and drink including the apple-based Calvados liquor, the famous Bénédictine liquor, from Bénédictine Palace in Fécamp, caramels, and more.
- Mediterranean ports booth: Cocktail reception Tuesday, March 11, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
- Pays de Loire booth: Wine tasting of regional vintages.
- Ajaccio and South Corsica booth: Enjoy the presentation of one the most beautiful part of the south of France, highlighting a new pier in Ajaccio, the "Imperial Port," the result of an ambitious renovation program (of nearly $50 million) that expanded and revamped the facilities at the regional ports of Bonifacio, Proto-Vecchio and Propriano.
